Courtnee Carrigan Bio
With more than ten years of experience in strategic planning, program development and management in the nonprofit and higher education sectors; Courtnee's commitment to social justice and advocacy is apparent through her education and professional involvement. Courtnee is trained in the areas of diversity, conflict resolution, facilitation, and leadership training and development. She's worked with non-profits, schools, universities and businesses to implement well-researched and documented methods to improve workforce performance and community relations.
Ms. Carrigan has assembled award-winning curriculums that build awareness and promotes individual and systematic change through common sense actions. She has served as Diversity Facilitator for the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati and Program
Manager for Outreach, Leadership, and Promotions at her alma mater, University of Cincinnati. Currently, Courtnee serves the YWCA as the Director of the Program Development, Community Advocacy & Partnerships; where she has a proven track record in meeting the diverse needs and challenges of the community. Through innovative leadership, she has been successfully leading the YWCA's efforts in the development and management of public and private sector program initiatives.
When not at work, she spends her time on the Public Policy Committee at the United Way of Central Ohio and on the African American Advisory Council for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio. Courtnee had a dual major in Communications and African American Studies with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati.
