African Odyssey: 3500 Miles by Rail

Local rail buff and world traveler Joe Biancke will present a slide presentation of his trip aboard Rovos Rail's "Pride of Africa." Billed as "the most luxurious train in the world," the 3500-mile journey began in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, and ended in Cape Town, South Africa. Highlights included Dar Es Salaam, Victoria Falls, the Kimberly "big hole" diamond mine, the 200,000 acre Medekwe game preserve, Cape Town and the spectacular passing scenery of five African countries.
