Themed "A Journey Into the New World," the program will feature repertoire including Symphony No. 9 by Antonin Dvorak, and Mars from "The Planets" by Gustav Holst. Also on the program for the concert finale, is guitar soloist Thomas Garcia; associate professor of ethnomusicology and Latin American studies at Miami University. He and the orchestra will perform Um a Zero, by contemporary Brazilian composer, Pixinguinha.
