Born and brought up in Chandigarh, Dr. Vikram Prakash will discuss how this iconic modernist city is responding to the challenges of globalization and massive urbanization. Dr. Prakash will present recent work of the Chandigarh Urban Lab on the future of the city's modernist legacy - from the master plan to the furniture - in terms of contemporary concerns of preservation, food security and deruralization.
