A "virtuosic" soloist, acclaimed saxophonist Jeremy Long regularly performs with renowned artists and orchestras in many genres. His performance of Ravel???s Bolero with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra was described as "perfect" by principal clarinetist Michael Rusinek. All About Jazz writes, "his saxophone can be boisterous, beatific, soothing, sly or soulful, and all of these moods and sounds are conjured with direct intent." An equally dedicated educator, Dr. Long is Assistant Professor of Saxophone and Director of Jazz Ensembles at Miami University in Oxford, OH. He has been a Performing Artist for RICO since 2010. His debut recording as a leader, In Suspension (Innova Recordings), garnered acclaim for pushing the boundaries of the traditional organ trio, and was considered for a Grammy nomination for "Best Jazz Instrumental Album." Critics describe it as, "angular and complex...with lots of twists and turns" (Jazz Weekly), "strong in all respects" (All About Jazz), and "an incredibly impressive debut release" (Critical Jazz).

Long has toured internationally with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in Japan. He was a featured soloist with multiple Grammy and Oscar winning film composer A. R. Rahman, with which he performed for audiences of 40,000 in India and Dubai. He has also performed in concert with Ray Charles, Pittsburgh Symphony and Pops Orchestras, John Adams, Cincinnati Pops, Michael Feinstein, Idina Menzel, Cincinnati Opera and Chamber Orchestra, Chaka Khan, New York Voices, the Temptations, and the Manhattan Transfer.
