Meet Miami's new Athletic Director David Sayler
at UPAC's next Networking Lunch
Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Noon in Harris Dining Hall.

David Sayler is Miami's 16th director of athletics, moving into Millett in early January. The 43-year-old brings with him expertise from eight collegiate athletic programs, most recently as leader of the University of South Dakota (USD) intercollegiate athletic program, where he emphasized improvement of the student-athlete???s overall experience.

Prior to USD, he was senior executive athletic director at Rice University for four years. He's also served in senior athletic administration at Oregon State University and Bowling Green State University and was part of the athletic staffs at the Universities of Houston, Hartford, Georgia, and Connecticut.

He has a BA in accounting from Ohio Wesleyan University and a master's in sports management from the University of Connecticut.

"Revenue generation will be the key to our future, and I am anxious to begin working with our tremendous alumni base to make that future as bright as it can be," he said when Miami announced his appointment in December.

There will be time for questions at the end of his talk.

Harris Dining Hall is located on South Quad on Miami's Oxford Campus. Parking is available on Oak and Maple streets. The entrance to the hall is on the north side of the building.
