Casper Memorial Lecture: Joycelyn Elders, Health Care Reform

Former US Surgeon General Dr. M. Joycelyn Elders will discuss Healthcare Reform for the annual Casper Memorial Lecture at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5 at Miami University Middletown's Miriam G. Knoll Community Center. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Elders was appointed the 15th US Surgeon General by President Clinton in July of 1993 and was the first African American woman to hold that post. She is now a Distinguished Professor of Public Health at the University of Arkansas School of Public Health and a Distinguished Professor at the Clinton School of Public Policy.
